Strawberry Matcha Latte
Ever wondered what to do with those leftover strawberries from making syrup? Give your leftover syrup-soaked strawberries a second life! This Strawberry Matcha Latte blends strawberry syrup, milk, and matcha, with an optional scoop of the strawberries left behind from making the syrup for extra texture and flavor.
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp matcha (about 1 gram)
1.5 oz hot water - 175°F (80°C)
milk (I used 2% reduced-fat milk)
1/4 oz strawberry syrup (Recipe is here)
Optional: Leftover strawberries from strawberry syrup
Instructions:
Matcha
In a small cup or bowl, sift the matcha powder through a strainer to break the clumps.
Then put in the hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk or an electric frother until it’s frothy.
Latte
In a separate cup, add the leftover strawberries and syrup, then mash them gently. If you don’t have strawberries to use just mix the strawberry syrup with the milk
Add ice cubes, followed by the milk.
Slowly pour the matcha over the drink for a layered effect.
Stir and enjoy!
