Apple Pie Syrup
Made a delicious apple pie syrup, perfect for drinks—but also totally forgot to snap pics! Sorry about that, but trust me, it’s as tasty as it sounds!
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole allspice berries
1/2 freshly grated nutmeg
Optional: Apple slices - perfect if your cocktail doesn’t already include an apple-forward spirit like apple brandy, apple liqueur, or apple-infused whiskey.
Instructions:
Cocktail
Put all the ingredients into a small pot.
Simmer on low heat until the syrup thickens slightly and reaches your desired flavor. For me, it took about 20 minutes to get the perfect taste.
Store in airtight container and into the refrigerator.
Note: If you’re using ground spices, follow the recipe below, but keep in mind that ground spices can make the syrup turn slightly slimy by the next day. Just a heads-up—this is why I’m sharing a smaller batch size!
Ingredients:

Optional: Apple slices - perfect if your cocktail doesn’t already include an apple-forward spirit like apple brandy, apple liqueur, or apple-infused whiskey.
Instructions:
Put brown sugar, water, apple pie and apple slices (optional) spice into a small pot.
Turn on heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes or until it slightly thickens.
Let it cool before using it in the cocktail.
Enjoy!
