Sakura Cider
Sakura Cider is a refreshing and delicate alcohol-free highball that captures the essence of spring with sakura (cherry blossom) extract. Lightly floral and sweet, it’s topped with crisp Japanese cider and served over ice cubes that have cherry blossoms frozen inside, adding both visual beauty and a touch of elegance. For an added depth and complexity, a splash of shochu can be included for a boozy twist.
Ingredients:
1-2 tsp sakura (cherry blossom) extract (depends how floral you like it)
Japanese cider (I used Mitsuya Cider)
Big ice cube
Optional: For alcohol version, add 2 oz shochu
Instructions:
In a cocktail glass, put in the big ice cube.
Pour in sakura extract.
Then pour in the Japanese cider.
Optional: For alcohol version, add 2 oz shochu.
Stir.
