A Rainy-Day Treat at Yoshino Chaya

Some of the sweetest travel moments happen completely by accident - and our visit to Yoshino Chaya was one of them. It was raining, we were hungry, and Yoshino Chaya happened to be right along our path. So we ducked inside for shelter, expecting a simple snack. Nestled right by the entrance to Chionji Temple, Yoshino Chaya Tea House offers a cozy place to sit back and enjoy classic delights such as Chie no Mochi rice cakes.
